Change

Sometimes change is good, sometimes change is bad - really depends on a lot of things.  But there is one thing that remains constant and that is change.  Whether it is the weather, technology or even you - things change.  You don't have to like it, but you can't fight it.  Accept it - but that isn't always easy either.  So what is the answer.  Sorry there isn't one, just know it is coming and do your best to work with and through it.

Technology Enablement

Is technology an enablement tool or a time waster?

To tell you the truth I wouldn't know what to do without it.  My phone isn't just a cool device it's a way of life.  It allows me to be be on top of everything - business and personal. There is a fine line that must be walked to make sure that the integrated life doesn't tip too much in one way or another.  I'm still working on that one...

Happy Thanksgiving

Just a quick thought for the week.
Why do you do what you do?  At the end of the day?
I know why I do - and I intend to spend a lot of quality time with them this week.

Why You Doing It?

If you are only doing what your doing (let's say sales) to make money - it isn't worth it.
There is so much you are missing and I'm sure you aren't enjoying it much anyway.
Go do something you might like - but leave the important stuff to those of us who love what they do, and see it a career and  not a job. 

Relationships

Sales is like dating - you don't always hit it off and it might not work.
Both are about the relationship - it's very important.
What are you doing on a daily basis to deepen the relationship with your clients (both internal and external) and start new ones with prospects?
Just thought I would ask.

Bucket List

Have you worked on your list?  Working on mine today with my oldest.  Doesn't matter hat is on the list - it's yours.

The Trip

So do you enjoy the trip as much as the destination?  How do you ever know if you will ever reach the end ?  The trip is not always fun but sometimes there isn't gold at the end of the rainbow either.  Just sayin'...

Just saying

Do you have clients or friends who do business with you?  I have both - not every business connection will be a friend, but they can be a client.  I like to have a good mix of each.  It makes life interesting and fun at the same time.

Planning

Just had a discussion with a friend.  Do you realize the harder you work and the more organized you get, the luckier you get?  Yup I don't think that is a shocker, nor coincidence...

Sometimes it is a pain to put the time in to planning (especially if you are ADAHD like I am) but it sure does make life easier!

Another week down

It has been a couple rough weeks.  I am ready to be home with the family and back in the office for a few weeks.

Difficult Week

Wow this was a tough week.
Busy at work and some tough times at home with the kids.
You know the saying - what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.  Not sure how strong I need to be, but think I should be good for a while...

Fun Times

When was the last time you had fun at work?
If it has been too long maybe you need to find a new job.
If you don't wake up every morning (OK maybe not EVERY morning, but a high percentage) excited to go to work - why are you continuing???

Rough Week

Not sure why but this week kicked my butt.

Technology Love

I do love technology (I don't think that should come as a surprise to anyone).  I finally recieved one that I have been looking forward to for a long time - the Pebble E-Paper Watch (check it out here http://getpebble.com/).  I have had it for about a week.  I love it.
Now is it perfect - nope.  There are little glitches here and there.  Overall though it is awesome (again technology isn't a job it is an obsession). 

Valentine's Day

I used to think a perfect Valentine's Day was a romantic dinner with a nice bottle of wine. 
Now I think it is coming home to two beautifully made cards with maybe a few mispelling but made with so much love you can't help but get a little emotional.
Man kids can mess with you can't they...

Bad Things to Good People

Seems like you think things are going bad life hands a good person a load that takes knocks the wind out of you.  Makes you realize what is really important in your life...

Wow

Just when you think you have everything handled life throws you a curve ball (or 2 or 3).
Guess my old thought of every day you wake up without a white chaulk outline around your body is a good day still holds true though :)

Well it has been a while since I blogged, so thought I should get some things down.  Lots of changes at HTS, but very excited for what the future holds.  Change is the only constant in life anymore.  While it is not my favorite thing in the world, there is no stopping it.  You can decide to fight it (and lose) or play the game and see where it takes you (while controlling what you can).  Your decison - but I am always up for a good game :)
